Mr Mensah was an exceptional teacher. I learned more from him in the short time we spent together than in the many years since.

Ed has an accent, but that doesnt mean he doesnt know his stuff. If you can get over this anomaly then you would do ok in his class. PS It also doesnt hurt to have AP Calc in Highschool, but you're right you are not going to learn anything from him that you have not already learned in Highschool.

Quite possibly one of the worst teachers out there. He doesn't give a damn about his students, barely has a grasp on the English language (not just his accent) and assumes you have a mastery of Calculus. Sometimes he'd leave the room before most of the students are done packing their bags! Someone needs to shove a fucking spear up his class and to deport him back to Kenya.

About Class: MATH 122, summer 2000

80% of the class failed the first two exams. The only reason I did well in that class was because I had AP Calc in high school. I learned absolutely nothing from him.

He knows his math but his ability to relay that information to other people is absolutely awful. As everyone else said, his accent is horrible, but as it almost 75% of the faculty at Drexel. Don't take his class if you don't normally know calc and do well in math.

Edoe did not seem to care at all that I was not excelling in the class. I asked for help almost every class and he said "We covered that in High School, go back there if you don't get it." Well, I can't buddy. That's a basic class with Edoe. Also, he has no social skills whatsoever. Only take him if you want an F or if you want to take the worst teacher at Drexel.

About Class: Calc III last year
Posted: 6/14/01 at 3:17:47 PM
He's gotten a bad rap. He's actually a very good teacher and gives everyone every opportunity to pass. His exams and grading are both very fair. So he's got an accent, so does half the freaking staff at Drexel. His accent isn't the worst one i've heard. I'd take him again.

Sure, Edoe would be the man and the greatest teacher of all time... if I could just understand 2 words he's said all term. Seriously, I don't like to rip on the guy just cause of his badly broken English, but it's making what was a hard class incredibly more difficult. Avoid Him.
